I'm looking to get my superintendent in North Dakota a Christmas gift, as this dude bends over backwards in the field to make me look good in the office. He's from Chicago, mid-50s. I was thinking of buying a few bottles of nice bourbon and shipping them up, but curious to see if anyone else has any ideas. Thoughts?

Get him like 7 or 9 Yeti Stickers! These are always a crowd pleaser and very versatile. He millwork twice as hard for you next year!

My company owner gave us personalized Hen and Rooster pocket knives last year. Probably to late for that now but just a thought.

If you know he likes bourbon, great. Personally, giving multiple bottles of bourbon seems tacky to me. I'd figure out what my budget was, and blow it all on one bottle of the oldest, finest bourbon I could find that fits that budget. Also, the rules for shipping alcohol can be tricky and confusing if you are doing it yourself. It'd be best to order online so that you don't have to bother with it.

Have you done this before? If so, what site did you use?

ETA: North Dakota has a restriction on shipping alcohol. Scratch that idea.

I'm thinking of personalizing a beer mug for him with a famous quote about drinking and a wine glass for his wife
