Some insecure men in this thread. If you have the right woman she can have all the friends she wants regardless of gender and you shouldn't feel threatened. We both have plenty of friends male and female and it doesn't bother either one of us or the friends in the least.

She's an attention whore. Women like that need a lot of validation, and that's why they tend to not hang on to female friends. Women aren't giving them validation that they are desirable to men.

I have always been this way. Chicks are catty and are generally a pain in the arse. I was a tomboy growing up. I wanted to fish, climb trees, ride horses, play sports, etc. So I had lots of guy friends who were FRIENDS ONLY. Never slept with any of them -- they were like brothers.

It is possible. I know a guy who has a chick he used to date as one of his best friends and there is nothing sexual between them. His current girlfriend even invites her over to events all the time. They just weren't compatible. The ex gf was a huge party girl who would get fricked up and go wild while the dude was very prim and proper.

I had a friend like that growing up, she was like a sister as it was 3 brothers for me. We are still to this day, best of friends. She lives down in OB on the coast hour from me. She went thru alot of hard times, self inflicted, unfortunately.

One of my guy friends is my daughter's godfather. Another one was shot in the face with his own gun in New Orleans East. Another died of a heart attack. So I have shed many tears over the loss of two of my friend/brothers. I miss them.

this is why I'm glad I'm with a girl who doesn't even find it appropriate to fully hug another guy unless it's her family member
