Wonder how he only got 70 years and his brother was executed for the same crime?
If this guy is really part of gang that comittted 20 murders, how do they justify him serving less than 2 years per murder?

Read the article. He pled for a reduced sentence.
FWIW I know nothing about this case but I do know that during the early 1980's there was a scare going around regarding Satanic cults doing ritual murder and stuff. It's possible he didn't do what he's accused of.

Says something in his trial got overturned causing a retrial. he pleaded guilty instead of a retrial
He was only convicted for one crime not all 20 murders he was linked to
