Again, the Millennial generation spans to include anyone born between the years 1982-2004, so anyone between the ages of 12-34 are Millennials.

That's a large portion of this board.

Again. There is a huge difference in someone that is born in the 80s and someone born ing the 90s and 2000s.

The majority of these crybabies they give the millennials a bad wrap were born in the later 90s and 2000s.

Hence my idea and the rest of the general populace idea of a millennial is someone born around the turn of the century. And being born in the 80's, i love the ladies, and I do not appreciate being lumped into the the late 90's babies and 2000s babies.

I am but people and especially marketers have been pandering to that age forever because the young are dumb and they don't have a full set of responsibilities yet so they can be talked into wasting money on anything.

The deprivations of the Depression had taught that generation to work hard, save money and not spend it; to cherish family and community ties. Loyalty to institutions, traditional religious faiths, and other common bonds were what that generation considered to be the cultural foundations of their country.[3] Baby boomers gradually abandoned those values in large numbers, a development that was entrenched during the 1970s.

well the point i was making that a huge portion of this board associates with Gen X when they are now considered millennials. not too long ago Gen x spaned to late 1980s and the new generation started in the 1990s. But noe they want to push the millinials into the 1980s when there is an extreme difference with someone born in the 80s vs being born in the 90s.

Never understood why this lame attempt was considered relevant. We all get old.

Millennials have a warped sense of how much money and security people had in the 60's, 70's and 80's. The 70's were an economic disaster. It took the entire 80's to climb out. Most people did so without the benefit of massive student loans or government handouts. We did raise a generation that can't do for themselves, however.

right. The whole Millennial range has completely changed from people born around the turn of the century, 1990's 2000's, to the people coming of age around the turn of the century,1980's MAYBE 1990.

Which in my opinion, someone coming of age around the turn of the century are just plain ole people born in the 80's.
