CGP Grey- The Better Boarding Method Airlines Won't Use

It will only work if everyone is at the gate and ready to get on the plane, AND the airline personnel doing the boarding make sure everyone goes in order. That alone would negate any time savings on the plane.

Boarding by windows first, then center then aisles makes the most sense.

I fly a lot, and the worst are those people who are allowed to take bags that are obviously too big for the overhead onto the plane. The flight attendants stand around watching as they try in vain to shove a 50-pound object into a 30-pound space. It's infuriating.

Or that they tell the passengers one item in the overheard bin all others are to fit under your seat, and half the plane are putting their backpacks, purses, shopping bags, etc in the over head bin space and bam! No more room for anyone else. They also didn't factor in the 55 "handicap" people that pre-board. If anything the older slower people need to board last while the pilots are still completing their checks. This will curb some people from abusing the pre-board option.
