Lol, in this case central. LP owns their image, centralites seem to think they are above it.

I'd move to Central.

I'd get flood insurance, but I'd move there if I worked downtown or at Exxon and needed decent public schools.

Do you realize you sound just like a chick that walks into a bar and starts immediately talking about the bombshell across the room from her because the bombshell is 3 times more attractive?

Central was a rural area and in the 1960's a lot of wealthy people bought land probably more wealthy than a lot of the BR elites.
You had the Jackson Family who had an airstrip off Sullivan road. I believe they had family ties to Irene Ryan (Granny from The Beverly Hillbillies)
Donna Douglas (Ellie May, The Beverly Hillbillies) bought property off Joor up in the Glen Oaks area and had a nice house there. She was from Pride area.
My grandfather from Pride had a lot of land in California that had oil on it. He made his money in California in Oil and running a company that built cars for movie studio productions. He came back to the Northern Central area/Pride and bought a lot of land there in the 1970's. He knew the Jacksons and Ellie May.
A lot of people laugh but there were people with big money that lived in What is considered today.

While I do see where you're coming from having lived in DS and currently living in Central but I was not raised in this area.

LP has its own inbred mentality that cannot be matched. And there are a few LP natives living in Central but I also find it's a ton of retired folks that want easy access to BR but don't want the problems even though I'm confused what's Baker and not Central.

Is there a lot of private equity in baton rouge? Probably mainly project finance type of stuff, huh?

I don't see the problem. I've got family there and the place seems great for a family man. I've actually applied for jobs in BR with hopes of being able to relocate to central.
