Well if I was a billionaire that would mean most of my days would be spent running cattle and hunting and fishing so yea I would still rock them.

I find Wranglers perfectly comfortable fyi, though I am sure I would have one or two nice pairs but no chance in hell I am spending 500$, maybe 100 max.

We're cool. I was just making a blanket statement, given the general attitude of the OT.

But back on topic, I know some guys who are absolutely loaded who simply wear whatever they want to when they are casual. Why? Because such things are the furthest thing from their mind. But they aren't Affliction wearing douches...

I wear Bonobos jeans and they look normal but quality is so much better. $135-$175 for their basic line of pants.

More and more I'm coming to realize that the truly wealthy generally don't give a shite about expensive clothes. They aren't into conspicuous consumption. It's those who have piles of debt that are into flash. One of the wealthiest men I know dresses one step up from a bum. Another very wealthy acquaintance gets his hair cut at the same $10 barber shop I do. Generally those spending too much on clothes/appearance have serious self esteem issues - even though they come off as confident/cocky. I've begun to feel pity for them rather than admiration or envy.

If Wranglers are good enough for Brett Favre and Drew Brees, they're good enough for me.

I have no idea what the majority of the brands mentioned in this thread are, nor do I want to know.

I've been wearing the same shite for 15 years.

Some have already said it but all of the old money, wealthy people I know don't dress to show off or make a statement. They just wear well made comfortable clothes. They don't care about labels. For example, my uncle wears LL Bean, Orvis, Levis, Brooks Brothers, Lacoste, Sperry, Perlis etc and has been wearing these brands for years. Most of his clothes are probably 10-15 years old or older He'll spend money on clothes b/c they're well made not b/c of a trend. My aunt does Bean, Lily Pulitzer, Anthropologie, Talbots. I've gotta say I grew up with those same values and buy clothes not b/c of logos but b/c of theyre quality. The most expensive brands are not the best quality wise all the time either.

I'm always being made fun of the the "older lady" things I like, and I have recently discovered I now love Talbots.

I'm weird.
