If you don’t like to make direct eye contact it’s the route you should go.

Almost bought a truck from here recently, but was hesitant because I wasn't sure how it all works.

I want to hear some stories too.

There have been reports and articles about people who have bought cars from Carvana and waited for a title for months only for Carvana to tell them they didn’t have the titles to the vehicles. I believe there is a class action suit against them

I did, bought a Wrangler for my daughter in September of 2021. You wont get a deal but (knock on wood) the car has been great, one owner, no wrecks, CV went over it really well.

The delivery was great, everything went really well, the deal can kind of get off in the weeds with paper work if you're not careful (they wanted some last minute thing notarized). They gave us a 7 day no questions asked return policy and a four month warranty.

I was pretty happy, and I didn't have to deal with shady car salesmen.

To repeat what SabiDojo posted.
What I have read is the frustration buyers have had trying to obtain the vehicles titles they purchased. That would be a real concern to me.

Their whole concept is cheesy AF. Cars in a vending machine?

My brother just tried to buy a car from there. Decent credit score (700+) and they offered him an 18.9% interest loan. I also read a bunch of their reviews on the consumer affairs website. Basically, if you get a car with no issues and you actually get your title you're good to go. if you run into ANY issue and have to deal with their customer service dept. you are absolutely fricked.

So it's a risk.

Edit: If you have a CarMax near you that's where I recommend to buy a vehicle. We bought my wife's car there and it was a great experience. Took my brother there and he ended up buying a car from there and it worked out great.

I sold my jeep to carvana. It was barely driveable and kept dying on me. Yet, they gave me a good price on it as if it wasn't a dying jeep. So no, I wouldn't buy from Carvana.

I WOULD sell to them again though. Super easy process

I had the opposite experience. I requested a trade-in amount for my wife's car - a 10 year old Pathfinder but ran fine and was clean. They offered me $375. They have the same year and model listed for sale at $15k+. I think I could have sold the tires for close to what they offered.

Sold them a car last year, which by the way, was the easiest, most head ache free car sale I have ever done. They didn't even test drove the car. And they offered the most $ out of everyone.

Now that you mention vehicle titles. Weird I handed them the car's title and they asked me not to sign it and leave it blank. I thought that was odd.

You might get the title , you might not. No service after the sale. You're pretty much on your own.

The cars you see in the building are already sold and are awaiting pickup. Think of it as glass parking garage.

Bought my wife’s last car from them. I got a better deal than the local dealerships. But this was back in 2017. The used car market is completely different now.

They delivered it right to my house on a flatbed and they have a 7-day money back guarantee. The first thing I did was drive it straight to a reputable mechanic who did a full inspection on it and they didn’t find anything wrong with it.

I’d buy from them again if the price was right and I’d sell to them if they offered the highest amount (usually CarMax offers more in my experience).

Apparently that's the root of their financial problems - when the used car market was red hot they were buying up as many vehicles as they could at inflated prices. Now it's cooled off and they're stuck with inventory they can't get rid of financed at higher interest rates.

I bought a Tundra from Carmax years ago. Obviously a bare bones fleet truck but still had the V8. 68,000 miles for 17k.

Currently have 178,000 miles and no problems. Put a new set of brakes and tires and that’s it.

Selling a vehicle…my best experience was with Texas Direct Auto. 20 minutes and they gave me more than a fair offer on a POS RAM.

They run forever.

Sold a car through CarMax and got a good price. Tried to sell two others, but their offer was not good.
