Apparently the captain was taken by surprise, "I don't know why she filed."
She found out he wasn't really a "Captain"?

Baton Rouge State Fair, around 1978 or so.
They were the first "famous" act I ever remember seeing live.

Toni Tennille (in her pre Captain days) in 1959 when she was a student at Auburn University singing with the Auburn Knights

If they were playing the Baton Rouge State Fair the same year the Rolling Stones, Doobie Brothers and Van Halen had 80,000 in the Dome, their career was in decline.

That is a cool pic! I had no idea Tennille was an Auburn grad...I wonder if she and Jeanne Robertson were friends?

The article mentions the Captain's health. I'm wondering if the divorce will allow him to medical coverage at a better rate than if married. Maybe he will quality for Medicaid if divorced. But, he is over 65, he should get Medicare, but what if they didn't pay into SS and Medicare throughout their careers??

I'm not ashamed to admit I had a Captain's hat when I was young. Probably 7 or 8 yrs old. And check that...I am ashamed to admit it.
