My dogs, german shepherds and malinois, currently eat Ideal Balance Grain Free food. Walking through Petco the other day, I noticed Canidae "Under the Sun" Grain Free. More protein, less fat that the ideal balance, and cheaper ($10+/bag). Whats the catch? I saw one recall for the company.

Also on the prospective list is the Canidae grain free pure elements. Same price range, less crap.

Anyone feed their dogs this? Would probably be fed to my GF's shite dog too.

TIA

I wouldn't feed my dog anything that sounds like "Can I die" in a Scottish accent.

If I had a dog that is.

I exclusively feed my dogs this...

LINK

Not sure if related, but I have a 9 year old boxer that still runs around with the younger dog all the time.

He's fine. A dog that can't fend for himself isn't a very good dog anyway. It took me 11 tries before I found one with jaws strong enough to open cans.

Well, my dog spends most of his time licking his own balls so I never figured him to be too choosy when it comes to what he is going to eat next...I would save the ten bucks in a heartbeat!

Lucky. I've been trying to train mine for years. Obviously I've tried the head kicking method but I just end up with blood all over my floor

I am sure it's good stuff, but it wasn't agreeing with my 10 year old spaniel's belly. I was feeding him and my puppy the All Life Stages. Switched them off of the Canidae and onto Whole Earth Farms Grain Free and haven't had any issues.
