In the BR area. Or has that dried up since the flood as well?

Yea, but now you have to pay for their health insurance.
Thanks, Obama.

If not, I am sure you can find out where you can get some.. BTW, don't expect to get quality labor for cheap labor. There is someone always willing to pay more for good labor so if you are not paying as much they will leave you dry..

No solicitation signs have gone up at the Coursey location. The labor has moved to the lot in front.

I know in Metairie you can. I drive past them in front of Lowe's every day.

You definitely can at the HD on Airline. I just parked a couple of spots from them one day recently when it was crowded and they swarmed me. Had to wave them off.

I've been at the HD at Airline several times this week and it's LOADED with guys. Was also told my the manager that the Denham Location will be back open this Thursday.

The Home Depots and Lowes in NOLA/Metairie still have them.

Had a concrete finisher on one of our jobs try and get a few warm bodies to supplement his crew on a big pour. None of the HD guys milling about would work for less than $15/hr cash. And these weren't skilled laborers.
Says a lot about a guy who would rather stand around all day and make nothing.

You have to keep in mind that the Home Depot laborers will lie about the skilLs they have just to get work.
You could drive up and ask them if they know how to hang sheetrock? Si, si.
Do roofing work? Si, si.
Do tile work? Si, si
Do brain surgery? Si, si.
After Katrina, I got a few of them that claimed they knew how to hang sheetrock. After watching them butcher a few sheets, I got them to admit that they hadn't done it before.
