I feel like that word gets tossed around a lot and usually in a derogatory nature. Typically, when I see the word used around here - I'm seeing it almost exclusively used towards individuals who are currently just entering young adulthood or even younger.

From a sociological perspective, a Millennial includes anyone who entered young adulthood around the year 2000 or early 2000s. That includes people who are now in their mid 30s.

Basically, if you are old enough to post on this board and were born in the early to mid 1980s and beyond, you're considered a millennial by most social science definitions.

You hear "millennial" and associate it with hipster. In reality, if you're reading this thread, there's a good chance you're a millennial, too.

Yep... I would guess probably 90% of TigerDroppings/SECRant posters are Millennials.

I think that's what most people think of when they use the word millennial. Unfortunate, IMO.

I mean yeah, there are a good bit of millenials on here, but there are also a lot of geezers on here too. Nothing brings out the old fricks with nothing good to do than information about college recruitment of 18 year old boys.

Well good thing I was born in 1979 then so I don't have to be considered a millennial!

36 is considered the back end of Gen X. Millennials are thought to have been born from 1980 - mid 2000s.

They change this shite every five years or so. In my lifetime (34 years), I have been Gen X, Gen Y, a Millenial, and now the Oregon Trail generation is being thrown around.

I remember when cell phones weren't ubiquitous, but they were definitely around when I was young.

I'd say Vultron is a good cutoff point. If you remember Vultron then you're part of the Vultron generation. And it sounds totally bad arse.
