Did your sense of historical perspective start with the day of your birth? This issue goes way beyond Jindal or Blanco or even Foster. This state has been spending beyond its means for decades. And it's still doing it. Some of you people amaze me in that you think these financial woes started with BJ. They didn't. They've been exacerbated with the oil markets in the last two years. This chrisis is nothing new.
JBE's solution of tax increases is a guarunteed loser and will do nothing to fix the problem permanently. If taxes were the answer, California and NY would be paradise. They aren't.
The only way you solve this is with deep draconian cuts to the size of government. I doubt many here are willing to agree to them so this chrisis will not be resolved- only temporarily fixed so it can be another chrisis next year.


And if you think the tax increases JBE is proposing won't wreck this state (even further) then you are a fool.
