Easy solution is for cops to take her arse outside and deal with it there instead of letting her keep making a ruckus in the hallway in the middle of the night while people are trying to sleep. All they had to do was ask her to come outside with them, if she refused or put up a fight...arrest for disturbing the peace. Incident over

Like it or not, at the point you confronted the girl knocking you were interfering with LE investigation. You could have been cited for instigating and interfering with a police investigation.
Instead of addressing her personally you should have ask one of the officers to come over to you and made you case for her disturbing the peace directly to them, respectfully.

You can get arrested for calling someone a name but not in this circumstance. You'd have to be deemed to be using fighting words which is not protected speech. Generally fighting words includes being within very close proximity to someone and saying awful stuff to provoke them to fight.
