Dsld is much better than Dr Horton. I've lived in one and looked at a few houses by the other.

about the same. Louisiana people will overvalue DSLD on here because they are Louisiana based, but they are equally as shitty

Our first home was built by DR Horton. There wasn't a 90 degree angle in it.

That'll make the walls shake in the wind...literally.

I wanted to see an example of a DR horton home in BR.
I found DR Horton is putting up that whole Bellecosa neighborhood, brand new off Jones Creek.

My buddy is a landscaper who does their work. They beat the shite out of him on price. Everything as cheap as they can be. The only reason he does it is high volume, but he hates the account.

they want to spend no more than like $3000 total on it. They never grade the yard before they lay sod. My sister in law bought a spec home and the yard sunk around the septic tank by like 2’ and I almost broke my ankle walking in the uneven backyard

I go into DR Horton homes quite a bit because the company I work for sells granite to them . I laser shoot the counters and see how poorly these houses are built. A starter home maybe but if your in it for the long haul maybe look elsewhere

I hear they’re better than DLSD but I guess that means they’re a better flavored shite.

The garage isn't wide enough for two modern vehicles and there's no extra storage like a boat port.

You can say that about the majority of the homes that are not custom built - through all price points 250K - 1M. It's one of the main reasons that I built my own home.

I had one a few years back. It was a nice little house. Lived there 6 years and I didn’t have any problems.

I have a DSLD and haven’t had a problem yet. Looks good to me. Starter home though I don’t be in it longer than 3 years.

But as far as quality it really isn’t bad.

My sister just bought one. Even got their cheap homeowners insurance.
I've been to the home once and it appeared OK at first glance.
Granted that I visited at night and I didn't really take a good look at the details. And it is still new, only been in the home a couple of months

You might not notice anything in 3 years, but there is no doubt that many corners were cut and the cheapest materials possible were used
