My best friend is a Navy medic and recently got a new person on their team. This guy said that he joined the Navy so they can pay for his sex change operation but he is still attracted to women. He already sent in paper work for his surgery and it was rejected by his boss and is now suing on the basis of discrimination.

There was a thread a few months ago about a lesbian website that was encouraging other lesbians (women) to date transgender lesbians (men). I cant remember, but there was a term for lesbians (women) who discriminated and refused to date transgender lesbians (men).

What is transgender exactly? Is it a guy that cuts his dick off and say he's a woman, or is it a guy that thinks/wants to be a woman and just says he's a woman like Bruce Jenner?

Gender is different from sexuality
I'll break it down.
Gender: a man can be born male but identify as female, and vice versa
Sexuality: a transgender person (or a normal person) can be attracted to women, men or both. It varies and just depends on the person
