So this is going to be a shitshow.

I tutor for a class at LSU during my spare time.

A tenured professor at LSU hired me to tutor his three graduate students, he and me agreed upon a rate in the fall semester over the phone.

Met once to twice a week, talking to the professor on almost a weekly basis.

Professor states to send him a monthly invoice.

Monthly invoices sent for the entirety of the Fall semester.

Now, said professor will not respond to any emails/phone calls. Tried to go to his office, but is never there.

Contacted Dean of School a week ago, no contact from him either on the subject.

What's the next step in the process OT Lawyers

Small Claims court can often work out well for you in these situations.

Give him a bad review on ratemyprofessor.com for starters.

As for the rest of it, I'm not sure but I hope that he was honestly dodging you since you dragged the Dean into it.

gaetti: This guy “Stat Prof” owes me 300 dollars. It’s been two weeks now, and every time he sees me he keeps dodging me. He’s becoming a real pain in the arse. I mean, should I sue him or what?

Murray: What’s the matter with you? What have I been telling you? Sometimes wasting your time on somebody ain’t the answer. Is he a good friend of yours?

gaetti: No, I don’t even like him.

Murray: Well there’s your answer right there. Look at it this way… It costs you 300 dollars to get rid of him. He’s never gonna bother you again. He’s never gonna ask you to tutor for money again. He’s out of your life for 300 dollars. You got off cheap. Forget it.”

I'm almost to that point. I might not sue him, but I might get a lawyer to send him a nice little certified letter
