Can anyone recommend a place where I can pick up some trays of food for tailgating. Looking to buy things like boudin balls, jambalaya, crawfish/meat pies, etc.

Found a place called Tony's Seafood in BR but not sure if they have good food.

Thanks and no I didn't feel like posting on the Food board

Make sure you go at night. That's when it's freshest.

Tony's

Boudin ball tray. Just be sure you order in advance.

Eta: I'm not a fan of any store bought jambalaya

Only downside to Tony's for me is I will be driving in from Nola and it's a decent ways out of the way. Most of the places I've talked to in Nola only offer the food frozen which will not work.

Tony's really isn't that far from campus. It's just a couple miles north of campus.

Like I said, order in advance.

pot and paddle on Jefferson near bluebonnet has passable jambalaya, pastalaya and gumbo, by the bucket. it's not the best you've ever had but it's tasty and plentiful

Like there is anything better in Baton Rouge.

And I'll put Tony's Boudin balls against anything Nola has to offer anyday. Downvote all you want. Idgaf. Their shite is legit.

And Nola people put tomatoes in their jambalaya. Shots fired!

I guess you're right after looking at Google Maps. Hopefully they're reliable and will have the food ready on schedule.

I know the owners of Tony's. I grew up with the grandchildren of Mr. Tony. They're very reliable. Like I said, order in advance. You will not be disappointed. Anyone from Baton Rouge or close to here knows of Tony's.

Just be warned that people in BR can buy hot food with their food stamp cards until October because of the flood. I went to Tony's last Saturday and it was unbelievable. There were at least 5 EBR sheriffs outside directing traffic.

How far in advance? I will likely be ordering enough for ~120 people. This is for work so it's important. Thanks for the help!

I have read on here that Tony's has been crazy busy since the flooding. You should call tomorrow morning and explain your needs.

Honestly, you could probably call an hour or so before you needed it and they willl have it ready.

I would call a day in advance just to be sure. I'm not going to be a dick and tell him to call 2 weeks in advance. Especially since I live here, and not out of state, and I know how Tony's operates.

I'm not sure where one would even get them in NO, so I think you're good.
