Madeline MacDonald says she was an 18-year-old freshman at Brigham Young University when she was sexually assaulted by a man she met on an online dating site.

BYU's honor code office received a copy of the report, triggering an investigation into whether MacDonald had violated the Mormon school's strict code of behavior, which bans premarital sex

If she got drunk, eh, kind of your fault.

If she was drugged and/or physically forced violently, tear the dude's nuts off.

90% of the time it's the women's fault. I believe the guy did nothing wrong. Frick her.

I'm pretty sure a men's basketball player was suspended several years ago when he admitted in an interview that he had engaged in premarital sex.

Brandon Davies suspended

quote:

At other schools, Brandon Davies might have been high fived. At Brigham Young University, he was suspended from the nation's third-ranked basketball team because he admitted to violating the school's honor code by having premarital sex.

An honor code is an honor code and the one at BYU, a private school affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, requires students to "live a chaste and virtuous life." Students are also required to be honest; abstain from alcoholic beverages, tobacco, tea, coffee and substance abuse; and attend church regularly. Davies will be suspended from the team for the rest of the season and, according to BYU spokeswoman Carri Jenkins, his future at the school has yet to be determined.

"Everybody who comes to BYU, every student if they're an athlete or not an athlete, they make a commitment when they come," BYU Coach Dave Rose said, adding that he thought Davies would play again for the team. "A lot of people try to judge if this is right or wrong, but it's a commitment they make. It's not about right or wrong. It's about commitment."

On a Mormon campus? They don't even allow modern electronics, much less internet.

I don't believe Mormons are allowed to drink (I know stimulants are not permitted, even Coca-Cola), so unless she's content with eternal damnation then I doubt she would have consumed alcohol prior to engaging in consensual premarital sex.

That would be a bit of a double whammy on her part.

One huge problem is the guy who turned her into BYU was a cop friend of the alleged rapist, who knowingly acted to get her investigated by BYU. That cop gave a confidential rape report to the school for retribution. He needs to be fired, whether any rape occurred or not.
