Are there any extra fees or taxes applied when I register the car in LA?

I heard a rumor that it cost more to register a car bought from another state, then brought to LA to be registered.

no

just be sure they get the taxes right or you will be cutting a check to make up for the difference once you register in LA

I bought a used car from New Jersey and they just took out the correct MS taxes at the time of purchase.

I bought texas vehicle 3yrs ago... just the regular tax, reg, and lic. as far as I knew. I actually thought it would have been more than what I actually paid. I think I paid only 4% tax but not 100% sure on that.
