Hello golfers,
I am about to make my first purchase from this site and am wondering if you all buy 5A (first quality) or 4A (second quality) golf balls? Is there a major difference in them? I read about the grading scale on their site but am seeking real life advice. Thanks!

Buy 5A. Quality was decent. Lots of logo balls.

Oddly enough they got hacked right after my last purchase and my credit card got stolen. I don't know if I'll buy from them again. I order a lot of balls from Amazon

You are better off buying brand new golfballs from golfballs.com,you can buy logo overruns for cheap and they have never been used before.

I buy from them all the time. I've never been upset by what the send me in 4A or 5A.

I've ordered both 4A and 5A from them. Difference is pretty marginal and have been happy with both.

I've bought the 5A Pro V1's a couple of times and have no complaints regarding the quality. No scuffs and still have plenty of life left in them.

I'm a believer that some balls just want to be lost. Why would I want to buy disobedient balls?

This. Can't speak to the credit card issue but never been disappointed by the golf balls.

You're buying used golf balls so it's not exactly like you are a scratch golfer who could possibly tell the difference in performance anyway.

Their grading system has gone down over the years. Some 4A balls might be discolored from sitting in the mud. You might get a couple that are the same brand but different type ball. It's really hit or miss. Sometimes 4A balls look brand new. Others look like 3A. I stopped buying from them a couple of years ago. If you're buying pro level balls then go for it! If you're buying mid level then just buy new.

You should probably spend a good bit of time at the practice range and getting lessons if you are losing that many balls...

The only competent employee of golfballs.com is Bo in Customer Service. Their custom logo staff is a collection of complete imbeciles.
