My Subaru was made on an assembly line in Indiana.

I always have that one ready for when people tell me I should buy American.

I'm not trying to tell people to buy American made. I'm trying to get a listing of American companies that people may not know about who may be interested in buying American. I don't care where people shop.

Several American clothing companies, but they are not cheap.

And my outback was assembled in Indiana too.

If two things are similar, one said Made in USA with a 9.99 tag and other said Made in China with a 8.99 tag

Buy China every time, IDGAF about your factory

My musical equipment is American made. Nearly all my shoes are. Most of my button up oxford shirts are too. My selvedge jeans are made here. Most of my furniture is mid-century modern and is made in America.

I try to buy as much American made products as I can, and have tried to since I started earning my own income.

Good man

It always amazes me that people can be so shortsighted as to not invest in the American economy, when most of those same people depend on the economy for their investments, 401K, retirement, etc. Some people just suck.

The quality of American made (and generally 1st-World made) goods is higher. It isn't that much more expensive to buy either.

You also have to be careful that it's truly American made, and not in a third world territory like Saipan, courtesy of assholes like Tom Delay (unless they passed a law removing that loophole, which I doubt).

Lol...do you really think all that you mentioned is tied to buying American made products?

I try to do as much research as I possibly can. I know where Allen Edmonds are made, and I have like 10 pairs of those shoes. I know where my jeans are made because the brands are incredibly small. The same is true for most of my clothing. It gets more difficult with instruments though.

True. But I suggest looking at where most domestic vehicles and manufactured vs assembled.
