If you can do simple math, you can get the materials. Don't get the exact amount that you need, get 10 or 15% more. If you have extra when you're done, HD or Lowes will take it back.

I ended up spending triple what my fence costed on fines from not getting permits, etc. Make sure you call and see what you need to do. Fence was around $600 and fines were around $1800. I also had to end up getting a survey that costed $600, so TIFWIW
