We're building a new house and it's pretty close to the house I live in now. A few days before we move out of here, I wanted to see about installing the tv's in the house but having it done by the building contractor - before we get full occupancy.

Can I do that, or is it a no no? I wanted to move a few things into the house but they told me you can't put a single thing in there before you get the OK. You can put stuff in the garage and storage rooms, but not in the house itself. Does this apply to tv's or routers, etc as well?

As far as I know, occupancy means occupancy. IE installing appliances, electronics would not constitute you habitating the space.

I don't see how a TV would be an issue.

You can't put furniture and a bunch of boxes and shite. Tv's and the like should be OK. I would just worry that the house is secure.

Since you say install, I assume you mean mount on the wall. Why not just get them to install the mounts and when you move in hang the TV? I would be more comfortable with that option. Save the TV from dust, damage, theft, etc..

The tech installing my Dish service said the best new house install he had was where the woman had the silver removed from the top corner of a full wall bathroom mirror and put a 12 inch TV behind it. Go for it, baw!

naw, don't jump the gun

all you need to do is the wiring which has to already be a done deal, right?

but did you bother to add antenna tv? for when the cable and or sat goes down, eh?!
