For now, you should go out and spend about 300 dollars on all the new clothes so you will at least look the part.

It sounds to me like this is what he's really interested in. We all know his type. They come out to the course dressed like they're in the final Sunday pairing at Augusta and they've got their bag decked out like their top 10 in the world. But when they take that first tee shot they still shank their brand new Pro V1 off to the right and out of play. At that point all his high dollar clubs and clothes just serve to make him look absurd.

Well since you have the attitude of a count, you'll receive no advice from me.

1. go on favorite message board ask the people what they would suggest what their favorite brands are and experiences with different clubs.

2. go to a store with a pro tell him what i heard was good try them all out, pick the ones i like, and get fitted.

i'm saying you should probably skip step 1, as the pro in step 2 can tell you what you need, along with whats selling good, better than we can

You're better off going to a pro before you get a set of irons. Whatever the pro changes is likely going to change what irons you need. Say for instance the pro gets your path working a little more inside to out you will likely need clubs a little flatter than before.

Spare yourself. He doesn't want to listen to good advice. He wants someone to stroke his ego.

it bothers you when people don't seek your advice doesn't it? idk why you are trolling me, i'm only looking to find out what the popular hot golf equipment is, you and mom jeans can't figure that out for some reason.

Do what you want boy. Go buy whatever clubs you think look coolest in your bag. That's all you really are concerned with anyway, looking cool and looking he part. Just know that when you're out on the course stinking it up, everyone else will be looking and laughing at you.

No not at all. It bothers me when people are ignorant.

What you don't understand is that I'm not. I'm trying to help you. Because what will end up happening is you'll get immediate satisfaction about buying all new equipment, and spend the next 5 years in despair because you don't know why you still suck and why people are laughing at you.

why does it bother you that i want new clubs, is it b/c you can't afford to spend money on whatever you want? Disposable income, don't be jelly.

so my plan of getting with a pro getting fitted for new clubs and then getting lessons is flawed? all i wanted was to know what everybody else used.

Be sure to purchase the orange Puma flat bill. I've read reviews that that hat alone will take 2-3 strokes off your handicap and it will also intimidate whoever you play with.

I bet half the people on this board can beat you with a baseball bat, a shovel, and a pool stick, a la tin cup.

You guessed it kid.

and if you knew your arse from a hole in the ground you'd know it does not matter what everyone else is using. Golf clubs are not something that is a "one size fits all" type thing. you really need to be fitted and you really need to have a pro analyze your swing all before you start contemplating what sort of clubs you want.

We've been trying to tell you this for pages now but you refuse to listen. So like i said, go pick out whatever looks to be the coolest clubs to you and have fun making an arse out of yourself on the course much like you are doing in this thread.
