this has derailed into a food/drink board debate, but...
can't argue with that--Ultra isn't even beer really.
this is just absurd. i mean, if said hipster is dogging people for having different taste than they do, then fine. the hipsters suck, as usual.
but (a) Bud Heavy is actually a "thing" amongst a lot of hipsters these days, so it's hard to figure, (b) I personally think it's awesome that we have so many good beer choices these days! and (c) i personally prefer natural beer to ones with such fine additives as:
Betaglucanase
Ammonia caramel
Rhoiso-alpha acids
Sulphur dioxide
Protease
Amyloglucosidase
Propylene glycol alginate
Silicone
but that's just me.
of course not. i used to go through a case of either on a good weekend. but on a low-carb diet, i'd rather cheat on something that tastes better. much better.

Budweiser is desperate. This stunt proves an article I read just last week. Bud is flat-footed and doesn't realize that American tastes are changing. Americans are increasingly disinterested in cheap beer.

Nothing says "men were men" like choosing a shite foreign product over superior local products.

That sounds incredible.
My ingredient list for my brew this weekend is:
Spring Water
2-Row Malted Barley
Caramel/Crystal 90 Malted Barley
Simcoe Hops
Centennial Hops
Citra Hops
Wyeast American Ale 1056 Yeast
You see that, my yeast strain even has "American" in it! Im on my way.

It's the new American way. Support an outsourced crappy product and shite on local, hardworking people making a vastly superior product just trying to make a living.

I'm sure that application process went something like:
"Dear Sirs, we're here with Budweiser trying to.."
"Let us have some samples...glug glug...approved"

and if I'm wasting 15g of carbs on a pint of beer, it's sure as shite not going to be a Bud, America or no.
If you think of beer in terms of how many carbs are in it you're too much of a pussy for a cold can of America in the first place.

Awesome. 10/10. Will drink.

I drink Bud Heavy and Coors Banquet.
I'm assuming that most in here who are calling them nasty and piss tasting...drink Mich Ultra or Miller Light. Both of which are horrendous.

Awesome but still not drinking Bud Heavy
Bud Heavy is so freaking light it can barely be considered a beer. I take it you don't really like beer.

Hey guys I just wanted to let you know I drink craft beer

Some of those items you listed are naturally occurring things as a result of mashing, boiling, and fermentation. You won't find many beers without those things in them.
And hell, I add silicone to my homebrews to limit the hot break boil overs during the boil and control the krausen during fermentation.

Beer labeling is a tricky process. Virtually all labels are approved by one guy - Kent "Battle" Johnson

I only drink today's latest beer fad. The label better be trendy, and the name hip. I'm all about today's hardest to find beer until it becomes mainstream and popular. I will then move on the next making fun of my previous favorite. I will however still rate all beer as if they can do better. I will describe the taste and texture like nutty, piney, sasafras, earthy, zesty, thin, clean, etc. all the while not knowing what the frick I am talking about.
Toss me a beer, cold is better, another is best.
It's either Good or ok.
No shame in drinking a cold Budweiser

Nah, I've never liked Miller and I've never drank a diet beer like Mich Ultra on principle. If I'm going cheap I just get the local swill like Rainier. It's not much better than Bud. If I'm spending a little I like porters, stouts, and actual German hefe. I don't hate Bud though. It's ok on a hot day.
