Corporations need to learn to keep their fricking mouths shut about politics and social issues. I want good products, not lessons on how to think.

Thought tGays didn’t like the trannies. So this boycott really isn’t a thing bc they are busy supporting that dude on the can.

Can this get any better. This is so awesome. They’re getting rope a doped from both sides and I’m pretty sure they’re still looking around like what happened?

So they’re getting it from the left after getting it from the back by those who prefer getting it from the front?

There has to be a new bud light thread at least once a day.

It’s like hey, if you like my beer, that’s cool, if not, that’s cool too. Should be the marketing pitch.

Milquetoast statements resulting from pandering often do that.

Why they have not simply STFU and tried to ride this out baffles me, every single time they make a statement it is going to get worse.

I think it’s funny when beverages become political statements. That’s when you know this country and its inhabitants are off their rockers. Why is a beer manufacturer making divisive statements to begin with rather than just selling beer to whoever wants to buy their beer, and especially when their base is so overwhelmingly not going to appreciate it?

Just sell beer man. Just sell beer. Don’t make it more difficult than it already is.

Well, they shite the bed and chose a really shitey person to represent the LGBTQ folks.

Instead of knee jerking an idea, taking some time to actually look into the person and see how they are and what they have done might be a really good idea

Last night I was at a popular watering hole on the Northshore...a place I have been going to for almost 15 years. We're watching the LSU game and I notice a young man walking around talking to people at different tables for a few minutes and eventually buying them Bud Lights. I noticed it because I used to have the same job for an AB distributer but what caught me by surprise is that in 15 years I have never EVER seen one of their marketing reps doing any sort of marketing at this place. They wanted product placement on as many tables and in as many hands as possible and I get it but man I would hate to have his job right about now. A couple of free beers isn't worth it for me to be a walking advertisement and apology billboard.

It’s amazing how the post can be so clueless and encapsulate their entire thought process so perfectly.

Now why the left is angry with them is beyond me.

Because in order to please the left you have to go all in for the cause.

The left wants them to come out and specifically support trans. The generic statements AB is putting it are not sufficient.

There's a difference between boycotts and cancel culture. Cancel culture believes in basically erasing the existence of something regardless of how popular something is or how many people want it. It doesnt matter if someone else likes it or not but because some people are offended, it needs to go away for everyone.

Boycotts are different and are part of the free enterprise and capitalistic economy. Sure Bud Light...do your thing. Run your ads and try your hardest to sell your beer, it's cool. We just don't want it and will tell you so with our bank accounts.

Boycotts empower the people
Cancel Culture empowers the establishment
