Ok. I'll keep checking this thread until someone tells me if I should microwave it first.

It's supposed to kill the germs, that's the whole point.

It isn't enough to hurt you at all, especially if you spit it out like civilized people. If you are one of those weird people who swallow when done then maybe.

Well that's not entirely true. If you look at the physics of it, temperature does affect the nature of atoms.

Kinetic energy, thermodynamics, and sciencey stuff.

Are you a chiropractor or are you related to a chiropractor? Is there a chiropractor in your family?

I'd suggest reverse sear or sous vide

Traitorous conglomerates like Crest, Oral-B and Colgate continue to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids.

Below a certain temperature, doesn't make them any cleaner, though.

Higher water temperature, again, below certain thresholds, encourage things like bacteria/fungus growth, higher amounts of dissolved contaminants, etc, that you would be putting on your clean dishes and ostensibly in to your digestive system.

You betcha.

While it may have secondary effects is helping dissolve soap and other stain removing aspects in laundry, there is little to support that hot tap water is any better at sterilization or cleaning of dishes (or teeth) and may have the opposite effect for the reasons I've stated.

But, you do what you want to - brush them with ditch water, for all I care. I'm just trying to help with the 411.

I wasn't presuming that the water was doing the actual cleaning, that's what toothpaste is for. Water doesn't "clean" anything. I was more thinking along the lines of hot water would more easily remove plaque and other gunk from your teeth, same as when rinsing your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.
