The meeting took place on Broome’s first full day in office on Tuesday. “The meeting and conversation yesterday was insightful and honest,” Broome says in a prepared statement released this morning. “All parties were respectful and agreed changes must be made in order to move our community forward.” Among those attending the meeting were representatives of Together Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Police Department, Louisiana State Police and 100 Black Men of Baton Rouge, as well as District Attorney Hillar Moore, East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux and State Police Col. Mike Edmonson

One of these is not like the other.

I bet they disagreed on which changes should be made.

Like people should stop breaking the law and resisting arrest?

In short,

This means the stand down order from Broome will be given and protestors will be allowed to do criminal stuff.

She will then get on tv and say she did not say that was ok.

Think "Chicago" - and you'll be 90% of the way there.

Yes.

She's gonna round up all the white people in BR and deport them to St. George.

Will be curious to see if Obama's DOJ releases the findings or does he punt and let Trump deal with the fallout?...the fallout being that the police officers involve are not indicted...

Can SWB have a conversation about anything that doesn't end up blaming whites for something?

My prediction.

Donald J. Trump will cover and share the burden and blame for the police officers going free.

Love how on the news last night she talks about how the murder rate is low and the ex-police union president was racist for saying Baton Rouge is headed to be like Chicago.

She talks about how crime is down but Baton Rouge Police Chief still must be changed. Typical politician coming in to frick everything up.

Unfortunately, no.

Blaming whitey is what helped her win the election against Bodi.

For instance?

BTW, I don't even this woman. If the rumors are true, and I have no reason to believe they are not true and the cops are not guilty of anything; then she has to deal with the blowback.

I think most here understand the law, our justice system, and how things are supposed to work; however, too many on the street do not.

Since many do not, and since there are instigators and trouble makers who thrive on these kind of situations most expect trouble.

How Mayor Broome handles the trouble makers could likely define her four year term whether she wants that or not.

sounds about right...the DOJ was asked to wait until after football season to release findings...now that Trump won the election, Obama will almost assuredly hold off on releasing the findings.

Whatever the decision is, the DOJ has done a good job of not letting anything leak.

All we have right now is pure speculation on everyone's part.
