Even the new coaxials? I thought they were significantly more.

This is the older coaxial - the 2500 movement. The new 8500 ones, distinguished by their gray ceramic bezel, are more expensive. The 2500 is much thinner (11mm vs 14) and sits better on the wrist, but doesn't have the display back of the 8500. It also has a matte dial similar to the new Seadweller 4000.

The Planet Ocean 2201.50 was my first nice watch. I flipped it for a Submariner 16610 but it was a pre-solid-endlink Sub and I could never get it to fit right, so I sold it and got another 2201.50. Next up is either an Explorer I or a GMT II or a No Date Sub 114060...

I'd get a Fifty Fathoms if I were looking for an heirloom quality watch.

I personally think the PO kills the Sub in terms of aesthetics.

Some of those new Omega's are huge.

My SKX007 is about as big as I want, maybe slightly larger. Its 41, I think.

Yeah, my PO is 42. I have the SKX007 too and really can't tell a difference in size between it & the Omega. The Seiko is a bit taller, I think.

This is a dumb question, but for someone that owns a 007 and a PO. How noticeable is the build quality difference?

The 007 is obviously a heck of a watch at it's price point, Seiko seems to be among the best bang for buck out there. Just comparing something like a PO to a higher end Seiko (Sumo, MM300, etc).

Is there not a cheaper alternative? What is superfluous to me, might be important to you.

Do you only wear Wal Mart clothing?

Hot, loose women are usually pretty materialistic. Plus my watch asserts my position in society above you

In my opinion the Seiko is awesome for the money, and would be a deal at twice the price. But the build quality of the Omega is at least 10x better. My Seiko is noticeably off after a week, whereas my PO is within 1 second per day (I use the Twixt app to check it occasionally). The finishing on the dial and the materials are also fantastic on the Omega. The one thing Rolex has on Omega with the new ceramic Submariner is the smoothness of the bezel (and the Glidelock clasp, of course). The Pelagos is about equal to the Omega in that regard. Haven't played with a Black Bay.

Tudor is a quality piece, but not the timepiece I would drop $3k+ on.

Gotta check the size of those things before buying. I personally like under 41mm, but between 35 and 40 is what I prefer
