Ask Randy Marsh. He is an expert in such matters.

I saw Wicked in Sept and enjoyed it. Did not think Id like the play at all, but I liked it.

Don't think that answers the question directly, but this is from a bearded mans perspective. I know you said she wanted to see it, just letting you know it might not be that bad.

I would rec getting her Wicked tickets as well, as a surprise. Go to both shows. You will earning interest on that move for quite some time!

Gf and I are going to NYC. She wants Wicked, I want Book of Mormon. Help me.

Happy wife(GF), happy life. We saw Wicked in 2013. We'll see Book of Mormon in 2015.

Wicked is actually alright for a musical. :nohomo:

Unless your GF is a raging South Park park fan - do Wicked.

My wife cant stand south park, but really liked BoM. But, it does have some raunchy comedy in it and if someone is overly religious, they could get offended. I thought it was funny.

I've heard guys can enjoy wicked, but in the same breath a female can enjoy BoM.

You either enjoy musicals (at least as a form) or you don't. If you enjoy musicals, Wicked is guy friendly enough. There's liberal claptrap throughout, but, hey - it's Broadway.

We happened to catch the little Dutch gal as Elphaba - the one who's performed it in 3 languages, and that was a treat. I liked Spamalot, I liked Movin' Out, I liked Wicked - Broadway knows how to put on a show - no question - they're so much better and elite than filmmmakers - they do these performances live - for years and it shows.

Ive never seen the Book of Mormon but I have seen Wicked and even though I am not a big fan of musicals of the Wizard of Oz I still thought it was very good.

Wicked is Epic. Book of Mormon was very blah for me. A great high energy play is Hairspray can't go wrong with either IMHO
