I've never been to a game there, and have some free tickets. Is it fun for small children?

For sure. We brought our 3 year old to a baseball game and he loved it but only lasted a few innings before he got bored.

It depends on how small your kids are. If similar to the picture, they're gonna have a bad time

8 is a great age to hang out at a baseball game with your kids, enjoy.

Is that hideous King Cake Baby mascot at any of those games? Not sure that I would subject little kids to that.

My son is 8 and I've taken him to several Zephyrs, a few Tigers game at the Box, even a few SLU baseball games in good ol Hammond, America. First baseball game I've taken him to was when he was four. I think you'll be OK.

I want to respond to your thread, but I still can't get over that name.

ETA - what age? In general, minor league games are much better suited to younger kids rather than MLB. I think you'll be fine, if they're not too young.

ETA2 - just saw you said 8. That's a great age to go to their games.

The younger kids will get bored quick. They do their best out there to make it entertaining, but it's hard.

The Friday night games with fireworks are the best games. Very good show

I've been to zephyrs games with my 5 year old son. But I refuse to see a Baby Cakes game. Petty, I know.

My son turns 3 this August and we plan on taking him to a game soon. My second son is due in July and we'll be getting those lifetime tickets for the cakes.

Make sure to heckle the minor league players in front of your kids ... worked out well for the last guy on the OT.
