Breast feeding thread (no pics) how long do you or s/o do it

So we just had our baby and are at the hospital getting some visitors..my wife is pretty discrete when it comes to breast feeding meaning she can do it without showing anything if she has to feed when others are around. So she starts feeding our newest edition and our friend is here with her child who is probably around 3 years or a little older. Any way this child starts tugging on her mom and she says oh I guess she wants a something to drink since she saw yours eating too and proceeds to give her child a drink like it's a sippy cup...we have always weined(sp) around 1 year old or just a little past so this threw me off. How old have you/your s/o breast feed your child? Trying not to be judgemental but I personally feel if they can tell you they are thirsty it's time for a cup.

I would say let's keep it civil but this is the OT so say what is really on your mind.

Tl;Dr wife is feeding baby, friends 3 year old starts tugging on her mom and mom pops boob out to give a drink to toddler..how old is too old?
