"It is a matter for our consulate and US Citizen Services, and we will continue to cooperate with all involved."

I'm normally against extradition, especially to corrupt shitty governments like Brazil.

But this is Ryan Lochte, so I don't give a shite

I think he may have possibly been in a situation where he was held at gunpoint, but I feel like me may have been looking for a little sumthin sumthin

Not surprised. It's a crime in Brazil to be that big of a douchebag.

When NBC was reporting they kept saying, "according to Ryan lochte, this happened..." It was strange how they kept saying that and never referenced a report of source other than him. Red flag

Only in the title of this thread

Title of article:

quote:

Warrant Issued for Lochte Over Robbery Story Swimmer's lawyer says he has already left Brazil

Big fricking difference than arrest:

quote:

A Brazilian judge has issued a search and seizure warrant for two of the four U.S. swimmers reportedly robbed in Rio de Janeiro early Sunday. According to a statement by the Rio Justice tribunal, Judge Keyla Blanc De Cnop, of the Special Court of the Fan and Major Events, ordered search warrants for American swimmers Ryan Lochte and James Feigen and the seizure of their passports.

It only means that the Brazilian police want to talk to them and didn't want them to leave the country. Too late they are already gone.
