Not excusing the drinking and driving, especially during inclement weather, but we don't know the whole story just yet. It doesn't say he ran her off the road or anything. Just that he pulled her from the car, authorities were contacted and he got a DWI. I dunno what happened but I know he works his arse off trying to catch murderers in our city.

This article is shite. It's very misleading.

I agree. The article doesn't make things very clear. We have to deduce:

There was some(possibly minor) collision between the cars. Hers lost control. He pulled over and helped. He was intoxicated.

Questions:

Did the cars actually hit or did he just swerve in her lane? Did his intoxication play a role? As in, maybe she went into his lane and caused the initial collision.

I always thought cops looked out for eachother. Why would they arrest one of their own?

It's possible a third party smelled booze and complained.

Oh, so because of his job status he gets a pass?

Funny how this board doesn't say the same for others that the Advocate posts every day.

Did I say that? He should get whatever punishment a DWI entails.

Since when does Hillar Moore's office throw books for 1st offense DWI? They just want the money for the pretrial intervention program. And maybe the $80/mo for an intoxilozer if you had a court appointed lawyer.

Jesus Christ. Your lawyer sucked unless you're leaving out the part of the story where you killed a bus full of kids.

Any legit police dept he would have been on admin leave without pay. Again we are talking about BRPD not a real police dept.
Upon conviction he would be automatically terminated.

I am sure even if he loses his driving privileges he will be back on patrol driving a BRPD unit especially if the corrupt BRPD police union has a say in it.

Biggest criminals in Baton Rouge is the BRPD Police Union and BRPD Police Dept.

Biggest crime a BRPD officer has ever solved is which officer ate the last donut in the box.

BRPD striving to destroy Baton Rouge one Krispy Kreme donut at a time.

The irony would have been if he would have gotten caught at a brake tag checkpoint.

Don't need a lawyer to get into pretrial though.

BRPD officer watch the police union will try to cover it up. He will be back on the force enforcing DUI or DWI depends on state in no time.
