Outside of Walmart, I sometimes wonder what percentage of handicap spots are being used at any given time in this country.

Occasional physical challenges are good for the lame and broken.

I agree 100% and yes, I do have a HC plate on my truck. Just some days I can't walk that far, but every chance I do feel good, I walk.

The biggest problem I see, people with these temp tags(those blue tags hanging) I see family members that are NOT HC and use HC parking spaces without the HC person in the car.

Oh, when one gets one of those tags, that person gets a HC State ID. If only the cops would check. Also, they need to put a $1000+ fine in place if caught parking in these spots if not HC.

The real travesty here is that someone can't spell handicap.

This picture speaks volumes about Marcelle. She plays the stereotype of self-important politician who turns what's meant to be a low paying, part time elected position into a collective movement. This woman is the last person we need as mayor.

Guy should have called the cops instead of posting it on fb. That's like a 400 dollar ticket

This is a cultural thing sadly. At least in my observation.

And you know the BRPD would not cut her a break either. Not with the way she was instigating tension behind the Sterling situation.

I knew it would be her. I barely know anything about the trick but what I've seen in the last few weeks is enough to know I hate her and she's a terrible person.

She's a real POS. An Al Sharpton wannabe. She hauled arse to every TV station last Sunday to tell us all she was doing to calm the situation when she's been the most public instigator. Her picture should pop up when one Googles racist.

If she gets any votes outside her immediate family for mayor, we really do have some dumbasses voting.

Agree.

Those spaces aren't just for people with a physical disability. If an able bodied person wastes one, you end up with a wheelchair clogging up the traffic aisles.

She needs to be put on a "Witch Hunt" and shamed out of town.

My best friend from way back was a paraplegic (almost quad), and when we'd pull up on someone like that, I'd just double park them and go on doing what we planned on doing. Did that plenty of times out and about, but the majority of the time it was at WCA on campus

Agree. Several cities in the news are allowing citizens to write tickets after they take a half day training course. Mainly for no handicap placard/ hantag at all scenarios. With phone with cameras, it's easy to document and provide information to police.

More likely the latter.

I agree with TR. The closest Target here easily has 20 handicap designated parking spots with maybe 5-6 used at the same time. It just seems to be an unusual high number even though the parking lot is large. Doesn't matter to me because I have no issue with walking.
