quote:

BATON ROUGE – A Baton Rouge man was arrested after he allegedly solicited a 12-year-old girl online after an investigation that involved six law enforcement agencies.

Joshua Guadamud, 31, was arrested on one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile. Guadamud was arrested following a joint investigation by the FBI, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation's Cyber Crime Unit, the Louisiana Attorney General's Office, Homeland Security, the Baton Rouge Police Department and the Austin Police Department.

According to the Attorney General's Office, the girl revealed to Guadamud her age online and he following by making provocative statement to her that indicated he wanted to have engage in sex with her.

Guadamud was arrested and booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Yeesh! Where were the editors on this sentence?

Edit to add: It's been pointed out to me that I missed that "statement" should be "statements." Or this could be just an omission of the indefinite article "a" before "provocative," but I highly doubt he only made one provocative statement towards her. Either way that would be three errors in one sentence.

These news stations don't give a rat's arse about that kind of thing anymore. They just want to break the story first then correct things like spelling and facts later.

Was employed by Redemptorist high school according to his FB. Investigators ought to be looking into his activities there.

I swear, the local news stations employ people with the worst grammar possible. I mean you're a journalist. Can you not compose a proper sentence? And apparently they stuffed the bus with the fricking editors cause none of them ever seem to do shite.

I'm almost positive he does. I've seen him at some of my friends tailgates over the years.

That's what I thought. I remember him "calling" the RHS baseball games, at least when we played them.
