An Ascension Parish grand jury has indicted contractor Matt Morris on 84 counts of fraud in connection to the Aug flood.
As a contractor myself I wonder how he got into this situation. What a piece of shite.

Yes, we all have the inspection results. Went from 30% to 50% complete In a one week time period and no work was done in between. He was calling in the inspections without my knowledge. After our attorney sent letter of termination to WF they sent out a different inspector who said 30% was complete. At first they were helpful and said their law department had it and we could be entitled to funds back if they were liable. They have clammed up since then, when we call they suddenly don't know what we are talking about and give the run around. The lawyer we hired to get us out of the contract with Matt don't seem interested in this. Reasoning is that it's costly to up against a big bank. However we are talking to another attorney who is interested.

probably got upside down at some point while trying to be a honest contractor and found its a lot more lucrative defrauding people. Has been getting away with it for years but got greedy and bit off more than he could chew with the flood related customers.

Wells Fargo is very shady. Wouldn't surprise me at all the inspectors were taking bribes. Now to prove it may take some work.
Yeah, I wondered about WF when a friend of mine told me about her husband's stint in federal prison years ago for ripping off the government by making phony loans. He was working for someone else, not WF, when he did it, but WF was the only company who'd hire him when he got out; no one else in the mortgage/lending business would hire him even for a janitor's position. I made a mental note of that when she told me.

I can only imagine the colossal pain in the arse all of this is to deal with, but it's a good thing you're following through anyway, imo. I think it's worth it not only to get your money, but also important to hold everyone involved accountable.

This is a very serious public service announcement. Hopefully no more people will get scammed by this guy, hopefully more will come forward, and hopefully this will get people to read the contracts and do more thorough background checks.

The final say isn't up to just the inspectors. The inspectors are sub's from a company like Land Gorilla but WF has in house review teams that take all the data into account before issuing funds. The guy possibly bribing the inspectors could have helped some but this touches a lot of hands before money is released which means Wells had a lot of points of failures.

bank is sending letters to all of these victims once again saying, 'You don't owe him anymore. You owe us
banks are bigger crooks than this guy. Investigate these banks for making shaky lons. The banks should use the insurance they took out to cover loans they knew would fail. And these banks nees to back off these already screwed homeowners.

Our society doesn't treat these guys as harshly as they should.
We don't treat white collar crimes as heinously or punitively as we punish petty theft.
This guy is a THUG. A real THUG. A corporate THUG. Our financial and business worlds are full of these THUGS, and they are literally the worst kinds because they actively steal and pillage things for their own selfish desires. About time we drive up the punishment for these guys.
I'll always view these predators and the real tPOS as opposed to the junkie stealing some cheetohs because he's hungry.
