There are plans to remove a tree from Gettysburg because it has a Confederate bullet in it

I may or may not know the location of a WWII live mortar round.

There was a podcast about this on Radiolab a few years ago. Japan would launch bombs with balloons and they would land in Oregon area, etc.

It's one thing to find stuff like that in the middle of nowhere, but you would think it would have been found a long time ago near one of Europe's busiest airports.

One side of Berlin has more than the other currently.

Once the wall came down, East Berlin began a broad rebuilding period and cleaning up that side. Under the Soviets they were not allowed to demolish and rebuild. There were some finds immediately after the wall came down I can recall though.

West Berlin began rebuilding right after hostilities ended essentially and as such not much press coverage today exists regarding munitions disposal.

Now that the West needs another rebuilding (age), and a more thorough job can be done now (right after the war was kinda rushed), munitions are being found again.
