Yes, the guy was on drugs and put himself in a dangerous situation.
Anyone else does this to someone, they will be tried for murder or at least manslaughter. Cops do it and they will walk away.
Cops are generally bad people. Their training makes them worse. There were many ways to deal with this situation without killing the guy, but cops are trained to use whatever force necessary to force compliance when compliance could be achieved in ways other than beating the crap out of someone, tazing them repeatedly, or shooting them.
How many dogs were killed by postmen, meter readers, or others who regularly deal with aggressive dogs? How many were killed by cops. Same situation with troublesome 'suspects'. How many people are killed by bouncers or security guards and how many by cops?
We have a domestic military force that is dangerous and needs to be rebuilt.

The only one I saw who should be fired is the guy recording. He was annoying as shite and the other officers were even telling him to calm down.

I just can't feel any sympathy for anyone that gets high and then throws down with the police.

This is what is called an uncomfortable truth.

Yes, cops are generally bad people looking for their next victim.

Way to pick one thing out of an otherwise reasonable post. Impressive.

Maybe you should have quoted what you want to call truth.

no, they're not ... and i have a difficult time sympathizing with someone who does synthetic weed, esp in light of all the news stories about what it does ... but there's something wrong with the training when this many cops feel the need to do this to someone ... he wasn't about to bruce lee on folks and break fee ... they simply didn't want to have to keep sweating to keep him down ... he was in a car with several cops around and on top of him ... there was no need to keep doing that ... none whatsoever ... and the underlying reason, imo, is that policemen are part of the government, and government, at every level, looks at public citizens as its subjects ... to be dealt with in an adversarial way, be it the cops or the EPA or the tax man ...

Yeah. Because smoking synthetic weed is grounds for cops using lethal force.
frick, what are they supposed to use now? Super soakers?
People always ask why they can't use tazer. Now when they do and the perp dies from either a health condition or some other issue from smoking mojo, they shouldn't have used the tazer?

They are not looking for their next victim, but many do not value the life of the people they are trying to arrest, or whatever. It's just not that big of a deal to kill suspects, in their minds.

frick that cop and his cuffs. No way to handle that. How can three grown men not get someone out of a backseat?
Because they are fighting a dude that was so high on drugs he could break a pair of handcuffs and still be fine after being tasered 14 times???

Would this have happened if he wasn't tripping on drugs? No.
Are you implying that he was doing drugs so he deserved to be tortured and killed?
Are you saying these LEO's had the right to be judge, jury and executioner?
Even seasoned LEO's wince at the douchebaggery of tasing somebody 15 times.

Untrained cops, dumb parents with the village idiot for a son. What could possibly go wrong?
You are the dumb one. Why would his parents be dumb? You think they told him to smoke that stuff? No way in hell you have children. If you do.... get ready to be called dumb by YOURSELF. You are ignorant.

Why have you still not fixed your thread title?
Posted on 5/23/16 at 9:24 pm to Mie2cents
Very few people like cops. They do however, like them when they are NEEDED. All cops aren't bad. All preachers aren't out to get your money and live lavishly. All used car salesman aren't rip off artists.... The list goes on and on.

Guy is so messed up he CAN'T fly
His family decides they need to call cops because he is freaking out
He bites his fiancé
He fights cops...repeatedly
OT defends him and say cops went overboard
