Bob Dylan being sued for raping a 12 year old in 1965

Dylan “exploited his status as a musician to provide J.C. with alcohol and drugs and sexually abuse her multiple times,” according to the lawsuit. This alleged abuse sometimes took place at Dylan’s apartment at the Hotel Chelsea, a New York City institution.

It’s awful if true, but it’s tough to really evaluate a fresh allegation regarding events that happened 50 years ago unless there is substantial independent evidence to support the allegation.

Why is her name being withheld now if she’s eligible for social security? I mean, if you’re “this close” to brushing 70 and you are accusing someone of rape you don’t have a valid claim to being emotionally undeveloped and in need of special protection.

there should be a mandatory statute of limitations at 15 years to make any sort of criminal complaint against someone
and i would go even farther to say if its been more then 10 years then they better have iron clad proof and several witnesses to back up their claim before then can even make a claim
