Black History Month Announcement

I will be making a series of 8 threads celebrating the contributions of Blacks to American society.
I have not set up my list, but I have a few ideas on historical figures I will use. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I have decided to not use figures who are still currently relevant. I also will not use a figure who has their own designated holiday (ie not using Obama nor MLK).
I want to highlight Blacks who don't really get mentioned or whose contributions may be overlooked.
That said, you all have a great day and I look forward to sharing Black History with Tigerdroppings.

I originally wanted to do more. But I made a pact with Chicken to not spam the board everyday. So I figured 8 is a fair number. Pick 2 per week.

So, you will saturate the board with people that by and large even black people know nothing about. Anchors away!
P.S. - Black History month is racist.
