Yes it is miserable. My daughter fell when she was 2 and her front teeth went into her tongue. She loved her pacifier and held it against her cheek because it hurt to suck on it. Bled like a massacre.

The worst is when you're eating some awesome meal and bite your cheek and the rest of it just taste like bloody awfulness
