I love how the tders that didn't get into bitcoins act like some people haven't made upwards of 1000%+ with bitcoins.

Is there any stories now of folks riding around in pennies on the dollar Lambos and living in paid for housing purchased with bit coin? When bit coin goes to zero those will be the geniuses of bitcoin.

No one has ever denied that early entrants into any big ponzi scheme makes money before the scheme collapses.

There's always going to be a handful of people who get lucky in every pyramid type scheme. I don't see how that makes them smart or wise, though.

Like I said earlier, I can see the benefit of using bitcoin as a short term investment to make some serious money quick, albeit at a HUGE risk. But if I were a betting man, when all is said and done I'd lay my last dollar that bitcoin will take it's place in history along side the Beanie Baby and tulip bulb.

Just to be clear, I didn't start this thread as some sort of "I told ya so." I'm generally curious what guys like TH03 and Wiki, who are actually very knowledgable on this whole thing, think this means for the future of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I asked months ago what Wiki thought of the potential for Old-Money brick/mortar/cash banks to actually FUND these hackers?

It makes perfect sense why they would do it and nobody gave a clear answer to why they WOULDN'T?

They won't put a public $25 mil bounty on bitcoin's proverbial head but they damn sure wouldn't mind paying it under the table.

Governments and banks will crush bitcoin IMO. And it'll look like it's just two dudes in a dorm hacking away, while keeping the real culprits' hands clean.

You are correct, but for every TD'er that has made "upwards of 1000%", there are guys like this.

I've said it several times before, but if you didn't sell at $1000, you are foolish.

I agree that bit coin is about the most risky investment there is, However, the folks who cashed out and have something tangible will look much smarter than the folks who rode it all the way down to nothing.
