Not the casino but I put 13 thousand about half my horse racing bank roll on blame in the breeders cup classic in 2010. I spent a full month analyzing a 2 minute race and figured out zenyatta since she won her first breeders cup never had a post position higher than 5. 11 straight races. I calculated the odds of that was like 563 to one..something around that and zenyatta was I think the 6 or 8 post and unloaded on blame. I had uncovered the fact zenyatta had been given favorable post positions in return for her running in various races. Even her first breeders cup classic win she was the 5 post. Anything further out than that would mean she had too much ground to make up

Didn't really do a anything with it either just added to my horse racing bankroll so I could wager more per race. Maybe some blow too

What were you playing?

$2,200 on Bama plus 7.5 @ Paris Las Vegas back in 2007. Turned around and put the 2k (1k on 2nd & 3rd dozen) in roulette and lost.

To the Razorback fan playing $5 slots: Those have the best payback odds if you are going to play slots in case you don't know but you probably already know this. I have won many 5 figure jackpots on these machines but it eventually caught up to me.

In full disclosure, I have quit gambling all together for almost a year now and won't even play a lotto ticket any longer. I now focus solely on investing the money I would have lost gambling. I have banned myself from casinos by signing forms at various gaming commission offices. Too many stories to tell but dealing with my addiction head on and fixing my life for my family has never felt better.

Merry Christmas everyone! CHEERS

About 20 years ago I lost 2K at the casino back when they floated. I was broke and in college. Long story short.... I lost the group seating ticket money for LSU football tix for my group. I had to get my dad to cosign a loan for me so I could get everyone's tickets. Took me a year to pay off the loan. It was a very valuable lesson. It has paid dividends over the years.

$400 on a hand of Blackjack. Was doing $100 bets, but split aces 3 times, leaving $400 on the table. Dealer busted. Left with 3K that night.

I played $100 hands of blackjack a lot of times, been up and been down. My best night was in about 04, got up and kept giving my hundreds to my buddy, and he wouldn't give them back. So we cashed out and went to Rene's place, I can't remember. Wonderful night!

I'm usually a don't player, but I was at a nickel table in Niagara Falls and decided to go pass line. I started with 5 on the pass line and probably had 5 or 6 hunnit on the table when the shooter sevened out. I didn't care since I had a won a lot off the come because of all the repeaters.

It took several minutes for everyone to colour up (we were in Canada, eh). I swear not a soul tipped (except for me), despite everyone apparently making lots of money off that 15-20 minute roll.

Largest was $1,650 on the Packers winning the 2011 NFC championship game

Second largest was $1,100 on the Denver Broncos losing the 2014 Super Bowl

I bet $10,000 on a single hand of blackjack, to win back the $5,000 I had just lost...

Luckily I won and went back to $100 hands...

After I won, I got up and took a walk.

(there's a whole backstory as to why I did that, but that's a whole different thread)

I've used the following joke many a time when people (and they always do) ask how I am doing. And, you know it's gold when you can use it on the elevator early in the morning on pissed off people as they are leaving and it still gets a laugh. Kind of like comics go to old folks homes to practice new material.

Q. How are you doing?

A. I don't like to brag, but they're putting my picture up (long pause) in the buffet.

If you're doing this enough to consider it a practice, you aren't breaking even.
