Jazz Fest
At New Orleans fairgrounds
Bigger headliners
More food
More stages
$5 beers
$70 entrance price per day

International Fest
In downtown lafayette
More obscure, lesser known bands
$3 beers
Beer garden with local craft beer
Free entrance

What say the OT?

JF because they bring in such talented artists like Pitbull, Keith Urban, and Christina Aguilera

Jazzfest if you care about the music.

Festival international if you just want to get drunk.

I was out at FI this weekend.

Here are some observations:

Lots of food, for the most part just South LA food. They did have a food truck alley with some other options.

Decent prices on beer.

Decent no-name bands, African and island music was nice and different. Had some good French bands as well. Cajun bands were the same ole stuff you here at every heritage festival.

French mass was pretty cool this morning.

AWESOME art stuff, I like the fish related art. Had a couple of folks out there doing the fish imprints, which are cool. Buddy of mine had his big snapper done at faux pas last year like this. In general, lot of really nice wildlife related art.

Too many to count in the hipster and lesbian department. Figure I would see that type out there a lot, but I have never seen so many lesbian couples in my life in one place. But not that many gay dudes, was weirdly out-weighed by lesbians.

Overall experience, pretty cool festival. People were weird, but that comes with the territory. Really liked the art though, can't wait to go back with some a good bit of money to spend.

Yeah and some other lame guys like Elton John, John Legend, Ed Sherren, Jimmy Buffet, Tony Bennett, and Lady Gaga. Bunch of nobodies. I'm sure Laffy gets a lot of grammy nominated folk at their festival!
