Best used car online resources

I'm trying to determine the best place to search for a new car/truck after the flood. I have fam in several other states that could check out a prospect in their area. I'm not sure about the cars I'm seeing in la online and a lot of sketchy things that ppl do to hide that a car was flooded, etc have me hesitant to look in state. Anyone have any tips on online car buying resources? Based on personal experience...
Thx all

What is the site that shows what others are paying for the same vehicle?

Cars.com
Autotrader
Cargurus

Sometimes eBay works
If you're looking for a truck, start looking in Texas. Looking in LA is a waste of time

cargurus.com is what everyone seems to be using now. I get at least 6 calls a day from cargurus customers.

Are you thinking of Truecar?

site showing what others paid-
www.edmunds.com and search for "Prices Paid and Buyer Exerience" for the make/model you want.

My dad's truck was a 2004 Dodge Ram....I told him to contact me once he gets a claim check for it. Who knows how much they actually give him for it. Hopefully a friend of mine near Houston will be able to look out for something for him. I can only imagine how much the prices of non flooded used cars/trucks will be now in LA.

I have emailed 3 dealerships in TX yesterday morning and have not heard back from any of them.

My gf already bought a car, albeit a new car, and she was told by the ppl at the dealership that wherever you buy a car, tell them you're a flood victim and if it's a legit dealership they will everything they can to help you out. I'm not buying a new car but she didn't have to put money down and got a bunch of extra discounts... Honda of Covington fwiw

Yeah my dad is not in a situation at all to be able to get a new car. But I will pass that on if he looks locally for used vehicles. He still owed money on that truck as well(like 3k I think he told me).

Cargurus worked about 4 months ago to buy a used vehicle. Online newspapers in BR and NOLA were not very good because cars were already sold or their condition did match their descriptions.
