Moving the family there. Looking into a few communities outside of Houston. Some of the more important factors are closeness to work (Galleria area), schools and cost of living (sit right in the meaty part of the bell curve of the middle class)

Sugar Land or Katy if you're working in the Galleria. If you stack mad paper West U, Memorial, Tanglewood, River Oaks

I'd say Katy though.

The wonder and awe Louisiana folk get from visiting the Houston suburbs makes me sad.

There's something about Katy that really attracts Louisiana folks for some reason. There's a decent amount all over but Katy seems to have so many

Sugar Land to The Galleria is not too bad up US59.

I live in Katy (OT poor) and I like it.

Not necessarily a recommendation, just information. I live in The Woodlands and can usually get to the Galleria in under an hour sometimes 45 minutes (work there a few days a week). However, on a day like today, a vehicle stalled making it nearly an hour and a half. Only way to ensure it doesn't take that long is leaving at about 5:30. I'm fine with it since I get paid mileage and can usually knock off around 3ish.

Katy always seems like the worst traffic to me. But close to a lot of energy companies.

Live here and work off 290 by 610. The 30 minute commute isn't too bad
