I work whenever I want and get paid VERY well. Wouldn’t change it for anything. I’ll never miss a holiday or important day in my wife or kids lives.

It’s easy. Once your salary you can take off whenever you want and still get paid.

In college I had a 5a-10a job M-F that paid well. One summer, I worked a 3-11 job at a bullshite factory to make extra. It was worth it, but that schedule was a whip.

Work day, Work day, Off day, Work day, Work day, Off day, Off Day

Never work more than two days in a row and still get a 2 day weekend every week.

Three day weekends are great too, though.

The 4-3 is best if you want 36hrs then 48hrs per week. Its work F,S,Su,M. Off T,W,Th. Work F,S,Su. Of M. Work T,W,Th. Off F,S,Su. Work M,T,W,Th. Off for a week. Start all over. You have 12 built in weeks off plus whatever your regular paid vacation is. It's nice to burn 3 or 4 days and be off for 2 weeks.

"My f-i-l worked at us steel in b’ham. One week 7-3, next week 3-11, next week 11-7, then start over He loved 3-11. Said it gave him time to mess around during the day, and then had a normal bedtime."

That is the worst possible schedule you can work.

Dupont is one of the best.

I work in the GoM. I miss my 14 and 14 before the Wuhan Bat Virus. That was the best. We quarantine for five days then work 28 day hitches now. Great money but this shite sucks!

A lot of the old shelf boys loved the 7/7. By the time you were about done with being offshore, you were off.

I work 4 days on 4 days off. 12 hours. Rotating days and nights. A week vacation is 12 days off. Love it.

The answer is NONE. Did it for 32 years. Don’t wish it on anyone.
