I worked there for 7 years. You can absolutely bring kids on a Saturday. Now you'll want to be heading out before 8 ish with little ones for sure.
Very family friendly. There is the occasional bar drunk being loud but a competent bartender will shut them up with all the kids in there.
Get the bbq brisket with Jap mayo. No lettuce.

My nephews love Que Pasa. As far as the food, middle of the road tex mex with above average salsa
